Residential-school stays at the Valley Spirit center, in Lanjaron, Granada, Spain
The center is located on the southern slope of the Sierra Nevada, the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula, in an environment of untouched and wild beauty, with the roaring Rio Lanjaron flowing along the edge of our land and huge chestnut trees growing in the willow forest.
The center does not have vehicular access. It can be reached on foot in fifteen minutes from where we leave the car, and the nearest village, Lanjaron, is three quarters of an hour away. From Lanjaron it is a short drive to the Mediterranean Sea (which can be seen in the distance from our house) and the beaches of the Costa Tropical. Granada airport is an hour away and Malaga airport an hour and a half.
The center’s building is simple:

A mud and stone house built according to ancient local techniques.

It can accommodate up to ten people in two dormitories.

Our cuisine is vegetarian and uses local organic products.

The electricity comes from solar panels and the water from snow-fed springs in the Sierra Nevada, the same Lanjaron water that is bottled a thousand meters below to be sold all over the world.
Residential stays are an experience of silence and simplicity. The beauty of the surrounding nature helps us to contact our inner wisdom, something that is needed more than ever in these times.
All stays include meals, lodging, transportation to and from Lanjaron, and an I Ching consultation. Weekly or multi-weekly stays also include a daily conversation with Cruz and/or Shantena and a guided meditative hike to places of particular beauty in the Rio Lanjaron valley.
