I CHING EL LIBRO DE LOS CAMBIOS

9788419387042.jpg

Rudolf Ritsema, Shantena Augusto Sabbadini, Cruz Mañas

The Eranos I Ching Spanish´s translation is the end product of Rudolf Ritsema, Shantena Sabbadini and Cruz Mañas. The translation is conducted on the classic Palace Edition of the I Ching published by Emperor Kang Xi in 1715, and adopts an innovative method in which each Chinese ideogram is always represented by the same "core-word", amplified by the associated "fields of meaning,” thus allowing the Western reader to access all the richness and flexibility of these texts while being an active participant in the oracle.

SIMPLICIDAD CONSCIENTE

Conscious Simplicity

Cruz Mañas, Lama Ngawang Wangjor

Stopping doing more than we really need to do, letting go of everything that distances us from who we really are, live in simplicity, dropping what prevents us from seeing our true nature. Conscious Simplicity is the application of all this in our daily life.

The Eranos I Ching is the end product of fifty years of I Ching research by Rudolf Ritsema and ten years of work with Shantena Sabbadini in the Eranos Round Table Sessions.

TODO LO SABE LA TIERRA

The Earth Knows It All

Todo lo sabe la tierra.jpg

Cruz Mañas

Todo lo sabe la tierra is a therapy diary that recounts a woman's encounter with herself at the beginning of her maturity. The starting point is an episode from her childhood, in which she contemplates an “initiatory” bird that openes her doors of perception to a different reality from the one her child mind had constructed. These pages recount the girl that has survived in the background of the author's mind, developing a discourse pregnant with poetry and depth psychology in a Jungian sense. Cruz Mañas Peñalver, pours into this book her inner experience with a sensitivity that illuminates it in a compassionate and cruel way at the same time.

I BUCHI NERI

(AI CONFINI DELLO SPAZIO E DEL TEMPO)

Black Holes

(THE EDGE OF SPACE AND TIME)

Shantena Augusto Sabbadini

Black holes are a doorway to something beyond our world, an extreme warping of space and time. On their surface, the place called `event horizon', a moment expands into eternity and light remains suspended motionless. Inside the ˜horizon' there is a region of no return and a central point where the concentration of energy becomes infinite and the equations of physics cease to be valid. Beyond this point the mathematical symmetries open up to other universes, or perhaps to distant places in space and time.

LA COLADA

The Laundry

la Colada.jpg

Cruz Mañas

La colada is a diary of self-discovery where Cruz Mañas, psychotherapist and poet, openly exposes her interest in the human spirit. This book continues and complements the previous title, Todo lo sabe la tierra, consolidating a proposal that is as literary as it is experiential, making the author one of the most unique and revealing voices of recent years: philosophy, depth psychology, inspiring dreams, everyday life and transcendence make this book a guide that accompanies us and immerses us in our own interiority.

PILGRIMAGES TO  EMPTINESS

(RETHINKING REALITY THROUGH QUANTUM PHYSICS)

Shantena Augusto Sabbadini

This book, exploring the essential unity of mind and matter, approaches in plain everyday language quantum physics and cosmology as ‘instruments of wonder’, as ways to contemplate and appreaciate the extraordinary mystery we are immersed in. The essential questions humans have been asking  (who are we? What is this universe? What is mind? What is matter? What is life?) are addressed from a scientific perspective. By pushing our scientific knowing as far as possible, we become aware of the infinite expanse of our ‘unknowing’. In the end we are left with a sense of wonder at the subtlety of existence and gratitude for the outstanding ride we are freely given.

TAO TE CHING

Tao Shant.jpg

Shantena Augusto Sabbadini

The Tao Te Ching is the foundational text of Taoism. Traditionally considered the work of the 'Old Master', Lao Tzu, a senior contemporary of Confucius, this 2500 years old text is a poetic and supremely concise formulation of some of humanity's highest wisdom. Revered as a basic book of spiritual guidance throughout Chinese history, it has become a beloved inspirational work in the West. The present work is meant to help the Western reader to penetrate the depth and subtlety of Lao Tzu's wisdom without requiring a knowledge of the Chinese language. Readers are offered a choice between various interpretations and are guided in non-technical terms to explore how they originate. More importantly, they are also offered the possibility to hold all the various resonances of the text simultaneously, just as a Chinese reader would, and thus access the original wealth of meaning in a way no ordinary translation could convey.
